Toro Magazine – July 25, 2012 —
Meet one of Canada’s fittest females, national heptathlon champ and Olympic medal hopeful Jessica Zelinka.
“I challenge anybody in the world to look physically fitter and better,” says her coach Les Gramantik.
We couldn’t agree more.
Zelinka enters the London Games on a high, having shattered her own heptathlon record last month in Calgary with 6,599 points and pacing a world-class field with a victory in the 100m hurdles.
We caught up with Zelinka, who finished fifth in Beijing in 2008, at the pool (yes, we know there’s no swimming in heptathlon) for this photo session with Jeremy McCormack.
Catch her in action when heptathlon gets underway on August 3. Link to full article.
